Hotel Rwanda

I spend two free hours after dinner today watching a good movie Hotel
Rwanda. It caught my eye because it is closely related to one of my course Peace and Conflict Resolution. The genocide happened in
Rwanda in the end of last century astonished the whole world. Foreigners without the culture background of
Rwanda feel hard to understand it. They will ask why Hutus aroused so quickly to kill all the Tutsis; what kind of hatred can lead to this genocide which within three month, almost one million Tutsis were killed.

Hotel Rwanda certainly can not give out the whole theory, but it gives outsiders a view of the history and truth. Genocide did happen there not long time ago and it reminds us the same thing, which is happening in
Darfur, Sudan. Sometimes, being a bystander equals to committing violence. People must stand up and take actions.
